Everything about our experience with Mike at Old Schoolhouse Mill has been (beyond) great. His expertise and knowledge about wood was seriously impressive. His stock of slabs was incredible and he was very responsive (quick, friendly and flexible). We bought our first wood slab for a live edge dining room table (white oak - it’s beautiful!) and look forward to more! Prices were extremely reasonable and knowing it was all done with care, and the drying done on-site, makes it that much more special. Last but not least, Mike has been friendly, helpful, and open to sharing his recommendations to ensure we make the best table we can. 15/10 recommend Old Schoolhouse Mill!

We found Mike’s business online as we were sourcing a live edge wood piece to be fitted into a space in our entryway. We made arrangements to visit Mike. We brought a template and Mike helped us find the right piece of wood. Our new live edge ledge looks fantastic and will look even better once our renovations are complete. This was our second time going to see Mike and yet again he went out of his way to show us some slabs for my second project. His slabs are beautiful and properly dried, so rest assured that your project won’t be compromised due to moisture content. Mike was super helpful and has lots of advice on epoxy casts. Highly recommend giving Mike a visit
The quality of the material is quite low, and the cost is very high. I'm not sure how he gets away saying he's cheaper than others. I found it quite a bit cheaper elsewhere. The material I was looking at was still too wet to be used for indoor uses.
